Reinigung und Nachintonation der Klais-Orgel (1964) | II/22 | 2017

The organ here is by Klais of Bonn. It was built in 1963/4 as Opus 1251 for the Church of the Holy Ghost in Berlin-Charlottenburg as an ‘experimental’ instrument under the direction of Berlin organ advisers Schulze and Kühn. The organ was put up for sale in 1990 and transferred by our firm to the Kreuzkirche in Freiburg, with minor changes to the specification:

- Manual I Oktave 2 replacing Septime 1 1/7
- Manual II Flageolett replacing None 8/9

In the course of a general cleaning in 2017 the voicing was checked throughout and the Dulzian 16 moved to 8-foot pitch.
